Biography
田氏以一級榮譽畢業於香港浸會大學修讀音樂（榮譽）文學士, 並獲頒發奬學金及直接取錄為二年級生，師隨香港小交響樂圑豎琴首席黃士倫女士，主修豎琴。田氏的畢業論文研究巴洛克時期的豎琴演奏風格，其畢業獨奏會主題為:
A Comparative Study of Performance Practice on Selected Baroque Harp Literature: “Handel's Harp Concerto in B-flat Major (HWV 294)”
and “C.P.E. Bach’s Harp Sonata in G major (Wq.139)”
田氏畢業於瑪利諾修院學校 （小學部及中學部），年幼時已能夠根據耳聽無譜彈奏。她自小師承本地豎琴演奏家施盈琳女士學習豎琴，中學時期於香港演藝學院(青少年音樂課程) 接受專業音樂訓練。田氏曾多次於各地著名豎琴大師班演奏，如Rachel Brandwein, Isabelle Perrin、Jung Kwak、Douglas Rioth及Christopher Sidenius等。
田氏是一名全面及活躍的年輕豎琴樂師，除了浸會大學管弦樂團和浸會大學管樂團，田氏經常獲邀與不同本地樂團合作，包括香港Pro Arte Orchestra、香港愛樂室樂管樂團、香港都會管樂團、香港節日管樂團、香港青年管樂演奏家管樂團 (聯同香港小交響樂圑)等。
田氏已考獲倫敦聖三一音樂學院豎琴演奏文憑(ATCL)、英國皇家音樂學院鋼琴八級和音樂理論八級。
田氏曾遠赴荷蘭及愛爾蘭參與國際性豎琴交流活動。田氏經常在各大活動演奏，包括Hong Kong Harp Marathon及Friends of the Harp的義務工作。在2017年，田氏協助籌備了在香港舉行的第十三界世界豎琴大會 (2017)，是為三年一度的國際豎琴活動。
田氏亦於香港青年協會--"賽馬會天悅青年空間"--青少年古典音樂課程擔任諮詢委員，致力在社區推廣古典音樂及培育本地音樂人才。
田氏操流利廣東話、英語 (IELTS: 8分) 和普通話。
田氏亦畢業於英國 University of Warwick, 法律（榮譽）學士, 並獲頒港幣十萬元於香港修讀法學專業證書課程, 完成實習, 認許成為香港特別行政區高等法院律師。

Maria is able to play by ear since childhood - an ability to play a song without having seen the written music.
Maria is a graduate of the Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Music at Hong Kong Baptist University, major in harp, with First Class Honours. Her teachers include Ms. Ann Huang, Principal Harpist of the Hong Kong Sinfonietta and Ms. Barbara Sze.
The topic of Maria's graduation thesis and graduation solo recital is:
"A Comparative Study of Performance Practice on Selected Baroque Harp Literature: “Handel's Harp Concerto in B-flat Major (HWV 294)” and “C.P.E. Bach’s Harp Sonata in G major (Wq.139)”
Maria is a scholarship recipient and was granted direct Year Two entry. She is a member of the Hong Kong Baptist University Symphony Orchestra and the Hong Kong Baptist University Wind Symphony. Maria is also a guest harpist for the Hong Kong Chamber Wind Philharmonia, Hong Kong Wind Symphony, Hong Kong Festival Winds, Diocesan Boys' School Wind Orchestra and Hong Kong Pro Arte Orchestra, etc.
As an all-round instrumentalist, Maria has obtained Associate Diploma of the Trinity College of London (ATCL) in Harp Recital, ABRSM Grade 8 in Piano and ABRSM Grade 8 in Music Theory.
Maria began studying the harp at an early age with Ms. Barbara Sze and received formal music training at the Junior Music Programme of the Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts.
As an active harpist of Hong Kong, Maria had attended Masterclasses of world renowned harpists, including Rachel Brandwein, Isabelle Perrin, Douglas Rioth, Jung Kwak and Christopher Sidenius. Maria frequently appears as both an orchestral player and a soloist, including the Hong Kong Harp Marathon and volunteering service of the Friends of the Harp.
As an enthusiastic young musician, Maria is dedicated to share music to the wider community through performance and education. Maria is currently an advisor of the Classical Music Programme of the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups-- Jockey Club Tin Yuet Youth S.P.O.T.. Maria also performs regularly in all occasions, including wedding receptions, corporate events and church services.
Maria has attended both the 9th World Harp Congress at Ireland (2005) and 10th Amsterdam (2008). Maria had volunteered in the preparation work of the 13th World Harp Congress which was held in Hong Kong in 2017.
Maria speaks fluent Cantonese, English (IELTS: 8) and Mandarin.
Maria is also a law graduate of the Univerisity of Warwick. She is a HKD100,000 scholarship recipient for the PCLL programme. Maria completed her training contract at Robertsons, Solicitors & Notaries, and was admitted as a solicitor of the High Court of HKSAR. She is not practising law at the moment.
